2011 Clients

To my amazing 2011 clients!

I started this crazy photography business after falling in love with capturing my own little family.  I started craving more and wanting to build my own business about 6 months ago.  I’m so honored to capture your loved ones too!  I had so much fun and can’t thank you enough for letting my crazy creativity and ideas take over and letting me capture you being YOU! You didn’t have to choose me:)I know there are plenty of *amazing* photographers in the near Indy area and I also know there are photographers that’s pricing is definitely cheaper.  I really haven’t done any advertising and that’s because the word of mouth travels quickly and you all recommended me to your family and friends!  As a thank you for letting me capture some amazing memories, being so patient, and spreading the word about Denise Rooney Photography anyone who booked a session in 2011 will receive 15% off your 2012 sessions! I really can’t wait to see what 2012 brings us!!!  Keep in touch!!

PS I’ve got some crazy styled shoots in my head I may be borrowing you or your families for if your up for it!

I’m trying to get more comfortable with indoor lighting so I was SUPER stoked when my friend Sarah was all for my idea to capture her kiddos.  I wanted to do something different and something that showed all of her 6 kids personalities.  I can’t believe how warm and inviting this family was.  They all played, ran, shared, and baked some yummmmy cookies.  I love this shoot because it just goes to show that you don’t have to have a super “posed” with boring backdrop images to show a family’s togetherness.  Watching their little hands anxiously waiting for mom to open the chocolate chips,  watching lil Ellie in the morning light find her blanket in the midst of a HUGE game of chase, make messes together, playing tug of war, and RACING to the oven when the cookies were done made me smile:)

Meghann Triggs - November 5, 2011 - 12:59 am

I would like to get family pics taken and was wondering what you had open before the end of the year. I was wondering if you could give me some ideas on destination for late fall/early winter. Please email me with possible dates. Thanks!
I saw the Kuntz family pics and loved them!

Love this, Denise! I don’t remember ever seeing it!

Hi Meghann! Thanks for your kind words :) They were so much fun!! For late fall I’m completely booked into the first weeks of Dec.~~I do have random openings that pop up here and there, and I usually post on my facebook page (Denise Rooney Photography) if something does come open. Do you have kids? How old are your kiddos? I do use natural light so I do all shoots outside except for newborns. If you don’t have a baby too too young you could book something in December if interested? I am getting prepared to do a few rounds of Vintage Christmas mini-sessions and there are still some openings for that. I’m doing them at a Christmas tree farm with a couch, mantle, whole vintage-y setup. The first round is this coming Sat. the 11th (probably too soon for you) but I do have a 2:45 opening. I’m also doing another round on Sunday Dec. 4th. Let me know what you think, or if you’d want more info on the mini’s or would like to book a session for December :).

Thanks so much!
Denise Rooney

“There is no foot so small that it cannot leave an imprint on this world”

Today is Sept. 11, 2011 and just an all around sad day.  As the country mourns for the lives lost 10 years ago, my coworker and good friend mourned the loss off her baby girl.  I hate saying “lost”, because this baby girl wasn’t lost.  She has a loving home, loving family, and wasn’t lost at all.  Kyra is one of the strongest people I know and after seeing her loving family pull together today it’s no question where she gets it from.  Although we wanted Kaelyn so much on Earth, God definitely has plans for her as an angel.   They had a beautiful memorial and released butterflies in her honor.  The preacher said that we will just know when she is with us….I know from now on every time I see a butterfly I will think of her!!  Xoxoxoxox

“An angel in the book of life wrote down my baby’s birth.
Then whispered as she closed the book “too beautiful for earth”.

I never got a chance to say hello my littlest one.
I never got the chance to say good-bye.
You got your wings and few to Gods side
But you will always remain in my heart
